June 1 event at Oak and 49th Avenue
The city’s farmers market scene adds another venue to its ever-growing list June 1. The Oak Street Farmers’ Market launches Wednesday at the Unitarian Church, located at the corner of Oak Street and West 49th Avenue at 2 p.m. The launch includes speakers Vision Vancouver Coun. Andrea Reimer, Greenpeace International founder Rex Weyler and organic farming leader Mary Forstbauer. Beginning June 8, the farmers market will run each Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at this location.
