I'm not sure how I ever managed to keep regularly updating a blog when I was on school board, working full time and raising a child. Now it's only city council, part time work and a teenager who feels like she's raising me sometimes. It may be that I have to concede to all those people who told me so that city council really is that much more work than school board. Or perhaps 140 characters just suits my 5.6 unscheduled seconds each day.
Either way, I've had enough of blogging guilt and am throwing in the towel. For now at least. Every week it feels a little easier to manage the tsunami of meetings, emails, phone calls, events, reports, and other work that comes with being a rookie city councillor.
