As part of our commitment to Vancouver in the last election, City Council has established $100,000 in funding for neighbourhood green grant programs.
Since the program was established in 2009 there has been funding given to a range of activities from neighbourhood food security networks to small grants for everything from canning workshops to community gardens.
This year, you can apply for up to $25,000 in funding per project to help your neighbourhood go green in one of four priority areas: food, zero waste, green transportation, access to nature/trees.
