Earthquake Preparedness course: Be prepared, not scared
We all witnessed the recent earthquakes in Japan, New Zealand, Haiti and Chile and saw the devastation. Living in Vancouver, we too could be faced with an earthquake, yet few of us take the steps to ensure we are prepared. This session covers what is required to develop your family emergency plan, how to conduct a Home Hazard Hunt, and what to do when an earthquake strikes.
Family and Pet Earthquake Preparedness course
The key to surviving a disaster is to ensure you and your family are prepared before the disaster strikes. We saw during Hurricane Katrina that people refused to evacuate if they were not able to take their pets. This session will cover what supplies you need on hand for your family and your pets, how to make your home safe, what to do if you are evacuated, and other steps to create your family and pet emergency plan.
